Overview
We’re always looking for more of our bread and butter: writers. Onward State writers have the unique opportunity to write about any topic they want (so long as they have a general/informed grasp on it). As a writer you would have the chance to cover a women’s volleyball game on Wednesday and then write an opinion piece about the Board of Trustees on Thursday if that’s what you are interested in. Though we don’t have a specific post expectation, writers are expected to contribute a minimum of two stories per week with the expectation that they work to exceed this number. Writers are also responsible for contributing story ideas and are encouraged to get involved in other aspects of Onward State as they are interested, be that social media, photography, copy editing, etc. Writers need not be journalism or English majors — we don’t care what your major is as long as you can write!
